When you choose to make a website and you plan to make it rank there are focus points you can pay attention to based on what you know being combined with how to turn it into traffic. Which is probably profitable traffic.
First you need to choose a niche. Once you know your topic you move on to keyword research. So I have here is my introduction to keyword research and keyword research too.
Why Do Keyword Research
Keyword research is where you can guide your creation and productions to populate your website without getting bad results. Keyword research search results have to exist and have volume to make sense and need to go for. When there are tools that accurately tell you that what you’ve got (what you’re going for) is what the people need. Then your efforts have the best chance.
Some of what you want to write about needs to be approached in the right manner. Some of what you want to write about might be useful and productive with or without attracting organic and search engine traffic. If it’s useful it’s a good idea but at least some or all of it should be made only after done the right keyword research. If it’s useful isn’t enough besides to populate your website for the user experience.
Eg. you’d get people to your website for “Turtles Names” then have them mean to stick around and navigate to a page like “Teaching Your Turtle Tricks” (Turtle Tricks has 20 monthly volume). On account that mostly you might not expect to be training a turtle to do tricks but are in fact a lot of search volume for “Turtle Names” which (has 6.6k monthly volume).
And without both you might only have part of it.
Keyword Research
If you don’t have an audience from getting traffic then nobody sees either post and topics so, keyword research is what you have to do.
Turtle skills and knowledge you’re prepared with isn’t wasted when you let your audience get to your website but let your expertise guide them towards what to appreciate.
You need to know the environment and setup for existing and becoming successful with your website and working online. So you need an introduction to keyword research and a push; when starting from 2025 onwards.

What I Noticed After 3 Months Includes..,
After Starting A Website In 2025
(Most Recent and Most Relevant Statistics Available)
The pages I would have made from doing keyword research got google impressions, and actually said a rank my pages were in, as I looked at the google search console for my data that was collected.
No pages where I made an effort and wrote what I thought was a good post made it anywhere where there were impressions or clicks or SERPs or anything. Still good information and good education. Content creation efforts are mostly not wasted efforts.
This seems like it means; that unless you use a tool that tells you there is a search volume you won’t get anywhere by testing it. Even though we aren’t really just testing it; you’d hope there is an audience.
The Things You Need To Know For Keyword Research
Tools (I Recommend SEMrush)
You have to choose a tool you like. Usually you can get the chance to try a tool or even use it sparingly each day without having to pay. Most tools you can use for free limit the results and effectiveness. I recommend using SEMrush to do your keyword research. But it costs $140 a month. So I’d say buy it for one month(if it’s in the budget) to do all and as much of the research as you can and could need to do.
The sections below refer to actual features that exist in SEMrush and some of the tools you might try.
Keyword difficulty
Keyword Difficulty (KD) is generally how likely it is that you can create content for the keyword and compare in terms of success to other pages ranking for the keyword. Suggests might include a relationship to CPC value (if you’re using something like adsense) and usually the lower the competition the lower the CPC value.
You can also notice that the higher the CPC value the higher the competition. Essentially and necessarily.
However (and this is the main idea). You may find low KD (Keyword Difficulty) keywords with search volumes that are high enough to be worth it as a or the target of your niche and objective. When you can find topics that have a low KD you can rank for them more easily.
For example “Banking” might have a cost per click of say $10 and then “Banking For Turtle Care On A Budget” might have 100 search volume a month which also is likely to have a high CPC but low competition and KD.
Aim for a Keyword Difficulty of 40 or lower (lower is better) for main topics. 30 (maybe 20) or lower for the main meat and structure to add types of content you simple mean to include, and rank for, and get some organic (search engine) traffic. (Not n/a and mostly not 0 if it says either)

Search Volume
The search volume you are looking for is probably around 2-3k a month for a main topic generally. And 100-300 a month for easier topics, simpler topics, and general stuff you want to write about. (I can’t remember it might have been 200-300 for main topics and 30 to 300 for the general stuff)
These days it isn’t as easy as it used to be so decide for yourself if you’d put in the effort for a 10th of a desirable amount of potential traffic ie. search volume. But if you find more search volume in your topic then you can happily do as you mean to.
Quotes is and are a topic that might be very low competition (love quotes) and high volume even for (love quotes for dogs) where you can’t refuse how retentive and popular it would be.
Search Volume is the potential number of visits you can receive and ranking in the top 4 might get you up to 20% (lower Ranks) to 60% (Rank 1). Which we accept what we get is what we get but you mostly don’t get all of it and way lower % the further from 1st rank you happen to be and dramatically.
(You can see you get impressions when you don’t get clicks but someone landed on a page where your website was listed on Google.)
Competitive Analysis
You’d need to search for Keyword Research Competitive Analysis to find this information on account of that this is just an Introductions to Keyword Research.
The idea is that you use the Keyword Difficulty and Look at the results in the SERPs to determine how well you think you can do compared to the other ranked pages. Strong brands and the more powerful the link profile the more likely to be closer to the top.
Possible or Not
When you’ve completed the competitive analysis you can determine more likelihood of getting in among the top ranking pages with the page you will of described. Generally Possible or Not is easiest to tell right off the bat when the Keyword Difficulty is below 25% and especially when if you try to rank for “Pet Exotic Turtle Types” and the result list includes “Exotic House Cats” because it’s relevance is low in comparison.
Note: “Exotic Zoo Animals” might represent a very high competition rating given that the list probably includes the turtles information as well. Then you have an idea if they target and objective is possible or not.
- Try To Rank For A Main Topic (might take less than years to many years)
- Try To Rank For Sub Topics (ready when you are if you can succeed and do well; and depending on with how much support you’ll be having gotten to/for your website)
- Don’t Try To Rank For Nothing (besides for for the user experience)
