Getting traffic, is hard enough. Making money is even harder. You can make money with your website and I’ve done it before. It’s not impossible and it’s not less than easy to do.
Breaking Even Requires That You Monetize Your Website
Possibly the difference might be whether or not you have a monetize. Adsense or products or affiliate products. If there are no viable options you’d most likely design a product for your audience they you might think they’d find useful.
I’ve done both Adsense and Affiliate marketing with good success. Not being selected to participate in an adserving program if it would be most useful for you is not a good thing.
I’ve applied for adsense with this website and got a no the first time and am currently in a second review after fixing up some parts. I’m also looking into Adsense alternatives to see I can get with one I really like.
With monetization you control you have the power to improve on it and respond to statistics as feedback.
Getting Accepted For Ad Revenue
Low strength content or low value content can be an issue when requesting to have your website be monetized. Meeting requirements like minimum number of page views per month or having a low enough bounce rate might be invigorated. If the content and the presentation isn’t tight or the navigation is sloppy you’re in a tough situation to get approval.
Increasing the popularity of your website as well as continuous streams of traffic play a positive role in a good meaningful potential profit generation. The more visits and visitors the better your chances of impression a revenue sharing agency or platform would like to include you.

Sometimes Yes Sometimes No
If you need more content and less thin content you might have to create more and go over some for a deeper review. Thin content presentation weakens the chances.
Depending on which service reviews you’re application the requirements vary. If you need a minimum traffic amount it’s strict to the point. You might be in a situation which is similar to mine where you still need to increase traffic a little to get to the targets. And then there are some people who do have (sometimes 50,000 pageviews a month) minimum.
You aren’t inevitably accepted into all ad platforms that would be nice.
Product Creation And Sales
Even though you are not limited to one or another besides choosing to have ads or not. You can say do both Products and Ads or Affiliate and Ads or just products or just Ads. There are many ways to monetize.
Other ways you’d find can be included too. Not just products but your services might be useful. One on one review, or guidance, and or mentoring appointments could or could not be added in to the mix.
You can combine as many as you can fit if they resolve to be able to include each other.
You can go from nothing to something if you need a path to follow along to then any of the options I’ve said might be helpful. Depending on what your task is. When I did my first website monetizing was really easy.
There is much more convenience in using an actual monetize instead of making your website profitable. Adsense and Ad services (if you can get accepted) don’t require much thought. I didn’t make a product but this time I know I might have to.
I was offered to help promote an affiliate product so I accepted. I made half from Adsense and half from the affiliate product so I was happy. Making your own product takes a lot more thought but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t. If you’ve got ads and/or an affiliate program conversion you can promote. All the trouble is taken care of. If you don’t have Ads or an affiliate program then you have to make a product might be true.
Goals And Expenses
You might be choosing to cover all your expenses. You might just look at it as a subsidy of what you want to focus on. Obviously earn $30 should be easier than earning $200. My hosting for the first year costs $30 and I have other costs. I only call it covering a cost which means breaking even if it’s an expense I mean to consider. So I can break it down.
To cover $30 I can sell 30 $1 pdf products within a year with the traffic I have. I could sell 1 $30 pdf product and be done. or 6 $5 products. What your capable of might depend on the quality of your traffic or the value of the idea. In the second year my hosting cost will be $150. Now we have a total of $180. So my goal would be, for any monetize is to cover this flow by aiming for about 25 cents a day for the first two years. $1 products would need to sell 1 every 4 days and then that’s $180 in two years.
For the third year I’d need $150 so then a $1 sale every 2 days. And then that’s that. so I have a plan for whatever monetize to come up with ending up around $0.50 a day on average to cover this cost stream.
Simple Example On Purpose
I listed somewhere that the expenses would be that needed to be covered from starting a website might look at around $450-550 which has to get come up with from somewhere to have to be where. Breaking even your whole expense doesn’t need to be impossible but I actually had to pay for other things.
The point is that if you can cover any streams you can build into covering more. Expecting to be able to cover all of it relies on whether or not you end up to. Some expenses are lump sums (3 years of hosting costs less to pay upfront). Then however you do the math works it out. You might only mean to make $100 to prove you could do it. And don’t have room to judge what it costs you.
Technically breaking even if getting the money back for what you put in.
Breaking Even With Your Website
Starts with getting traffic or the traffic you can get and then monetizing to get some whenever you can using your setup. Without monetizing you can’t know. And with any traffic it could work.
