Niche Edits

A Niche Edit is when another webmaster takes an existing content and changes it or adds a fresh link to your website and content. Alternatively to Guest Posting; no new content is added. Simply take a website who is already indexed with a page that already has authority to put the link.

The idea lets you collaborate with a companion or ally to give you support faster and stronger than a guest post usually. It’s not obvious what you have to do in exchange for them to link to you. But it can’t be deceptive.

Some Things To Consider

Doesn’t work if the page is too low authority. Also not to be used on fresh pages as if to be like a Guest Post. Unlike with a Guppy Post you’d try to find a page that already has authority so you probably don’t need to use the extra boost technique I suggested. But if you have the resource it might be polite.

Choose A Webmaster And Website For Outreach

You’ll need to be able to contact them somehow. If they have a contact page or an email you might have a chance. You need to find a page you had in mind to see if you can get a few sentences added or adjusted with and to have it be to get your link.

Cool note is that websites that don’t offer Guest Posts or otherwise an outreach guide to be working with them might be even more likely to consider the connection and relationship. People don’t mean to give up really good opportunities (is Niche Edits a good opportunity?>). And I don’t advertise doing Guest Posts but technically I might if I liked the idea and proposal.

I’d do a Guppy Post instead of anything else probably.

Niche Edits Their Website Links To Your Website

It seems like you’d have to go above and beyond if you just expect them to refer to your website just by asking or pointing out a correction or additional resource. But they might like you and want to.

In the end you mean to be benefited and rewarded by their compliance. The generic definition of a Niche Edit would be essentially that they will agree instead of needing a compensation. I’d agree there should be at least a bit more effort than just providing a request. You can’t pay.

Not getting a free link seems more likely.

What Makes A Niche Edit Worth It

Some people don’t just update old pages to add a reference but they might if your attempt seems promising. Your reference might be an improvement, so why not?

Bad Link, Broken Link Or Better Reference

It is included technically in a version of SEO theory (Organic SEO) that fixing something like a dead url reference could be rewarded with a live strong and authoritative backlink correction. Where they made a referring link but ‘missed’ cause the source had been taken down. (Is a dead link)

Also a better reference qualifies for a reward when you are helping fixing it up for them.

Niche Edits Summary

As long as you do it white hat. As long as you don’t do it especially black hat. There may be some value against the possible risks. It’s almost always said that low quality links are a bad thing. Being a better Niche Edits suggester is better off for you and them.

This is certainly a good suggestion when for webmasters who get involved if and when it’s alright. It’s an even better skill to have than not because you can find a way to reach out to webmasters who don’t advertise how you’d get involved with them.

Doing the typical Niche Edits maneuver could get a good result. And there are better ways to go about it where everybody ends up happy. Your effort may be certainly a most positive one.
